With an endeavor to expose our students to corporate sector and increase their understanding towards the management learning by live corporate experiences, IIPM Lucknow has organized guest lectures by inviting people from different walks of life.
To Begin with we invited Prof Monika Lal to deliver a lecture on the topic "Creativity can be learned" on the 20th June ’09. She is an alumna of IIPM’s class of 1999. Apart from being an MBA, she has also done her LLB and completed diploma in International Law and International Institution from Delhi University. She had her corporate stint with Direm Marketing Service and had done research work/ training projects for prestigious clients like Intel, Dabur India. Prof. Monika Lal has teaching experience with various institutions including ICFAI University, EMPI Institute of Management, Delhi, Jagan Institute of Mgmt. Studies and Sriram Institute of Management. Reading and watching plays are her favorite pastime.
The topic selected by her was mainly focused on how various Companies with their creative thinking come up with striking innovations that make them stand out amongst the crowd. The idea was to make the student think out of the box and be creative in the business world.
Our second Guest Lecture was from Mr DC Pandey, I.G. Police on the 25th June ’09. A senior IPS officer, Mr. Pandey has a vivid experience of 30 years in administrative capacity, security, litigation and Crisis Management Co-ordination.
Apart from being MA in Economics, he has done Post graduation in Hospital Administration, Business Management as well as in Mass Communication. He is a professional in Law, Police regulations and Investigation. Besides, his passions are acting and direction. He has acted in 140 plays and has directed 25 plays.
He threw light on the topic “Management by Objectives”, emphasizing on the importance of empowerment and decision making in achieving individual and organizational goals. Mr DC Pandey shared his experiences leading to a better understanding of the topic.
Our next invitee in the guest lecture series was Mr Amit Vij, Centre Director, Ma Foi Academy. Mr.Vij addressed the students on 29th of June, 2009. He has a ripe experience of over 10 years in sales, customer service, financial markets, logistics and training with various esteemed organizations.
He has an exposure in delivering Institutional and Corporate training. (HUL, Coca Cola Pvt Ltd etc) He is a creative communicator and presenter with an ability to establish rapport with groups at different organization levels. Mr.Vij is adept at making enthusiastic presentations with clarity and humor to diverse audience. Currently he heads Ma Foi Academy in Lucknow offering training solutions to various audiences.
