IIPM’s International campus was abuzz on the 12th and 13th of November. The outbreak of events started with ‘Clash of the titans-The global debate challenge’, (Prelims). For the finals, the panel of judges included Mr Salman Khursheed (a well known educationist, social reformer and political thinker), Mrs Louise Khursheed (a well known political thinker) and Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri.,(Honorary Dean, IIPM). 70 young  titans from 18 countries including USA, UK, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, debated on “peace love and harmony are emissaries of destruction and stagnation, the world needs chaos to grow and evolve”. Ajitesh Kir  from St Stephens College was acknowledged as the winner who won prizes worth Rs. 1 lakh and packed his bags as he also won a trip to London.

 

Next in line was Business Plan, where the budding barons were judged by Mr. Pankaj Parnami (Founder Director, KPO consultants) and Prof. Sumanta Sharma. Puneet Singh from IIT Roorkee, pleased the judges with feasibility of his business plan.

 

2 days of serious competition and severe scrutiny went into the making of 360 degree. The event took the contestants ‘beyond management books’. The mangers in the making went through various quizzes, presentations, over night tasks, case studies and much more. After a grilling stress interview, Muzammil Poonawala of of IIPM, Pune  emerged as the ‘Best ’ manager ‘ and walked away with prizes worth Rs.50,000.

 

Other literary events included AD-ZAP, Surbhi Sahay’s team from IIPM Pune, charmed  the judges with their creativity in thought, expressed  in form of their wacky advertisement. While the confused minds tried making sense at Flip – back… rest of the students geared up for adrenalin rush at ‘Treasure Hunt’. Events like Movie- making and Face- painting also saw phenomenal response!
